Chefie AI Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy is for people in the United States. It explains how Deepskim Ltd, the company behind Chefie AI, handles "consumer health data" under the Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data law and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, and the rights you have. It adds to our main Privacy Policy.
In short: we use health-related data only to make recipes that suit you. We don't sell it or use it for advertising. Allergies and diets are stored only if you switch that on, and switching it off deletes them.
1. What we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Allergies and intolerances | Peanuts, shellfish, gluten, sesame, how severe they are, and ingredients you allow within an allergy group |
| Health-related diets | Gluten-free, dairy-free, low-FODMAP, low-sodium and similar |
| Goals and tracking | A daily calorie target, goals such as "eat healthier", meals you log and their estimated nutrition |
| What you tell Chefie | Health details you choose to mention in chat |
| Inferences | Recipes filtered or adapted for your allergies, diets and goals |
We collect it only from you and from how you use Chefie. We don't collect medical records, biometric data or precise location, and we don't use geofencing.
2. Why we use it
Only to provide what you ask for:
- filter out recipes that contain your allergens or don't fit your diet;
- tell our AI what to avoid when it writes, changes or suggests recipes;
- show your nutrition log and progress;
- keep the service secure and meet legal duties.
Allergen and diet filtering is an aid, not a guarantee. Always check ingredients and labels yourself.
3. Who receives it
We don't sell consumer health data. We only disclose it to service providers that process it for us under contract, to run Chefie:
- AI service providers, to write and adapt recipes;
- cloud hosting and storage providers, to store your account.
We have no affiliates that receive it. We may also disclose it where the law requires. Our crash reporting and usage analytics never receive it. You can ask for a list of our current providers and their contact details at deepskim.ltd@gmail.com.
4. Your consent
- Allergies and diets are collected only after you switch on "Use my allergies and diet". It's off until you turn it on.
- Goals, logs and chat are collected because you choose to use those features.
- To withdraw consent, switch it off in Profile → Data & privacy. We delete your saved allergies and diets straight away. You can also email deepskim.ltd@gmail.com.
5. Your rights
You can:
- confirm whether we collect your consumer health data, and access it;
- get a list of the third parties and affiliates that have received it, with contact details;
- delete it, including from our providers. Backups are deleted within 30 days;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- not be treated differently for using these rights.
6. How to use your rights
- In the app: switch off "Use my allergies and diet", edit or delete goals and logs, or delete your account in Profile → Delete account.
- By email: write to deepskim.ltd@gmail.com from the email on your account, saying what you'd like and which state you live in.
